Whats wrong with Floating point numbers ?

This URL specifies what is wrong with Float implementation in Java. Is it that Java alone has this problem or is it there for ages ?

Actually, the problem is much older than Java and can be found in the IEEE 754 specification that defines how floating-point numbers work.

YSlow ! - Know performance statistics of your web application.

YSlow caught my attention recently.

If you are wondering why your web application runs very slow, probably you are missing a tool like YSlow. This gives you bunch of statistics about your web app.

So, is there a reason why you shouldn't give it a try ???

A team from MIT's Department of Physics, Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, and Institute for Soldier Nanotechnologies (ISN) has experimentally demonstrated an important step toward accomplishing this vision of the future. The team members are Andre Kurs, Aristeidis Karalis, Robert Moffatt, Prof. Peter Fisher, and Prof. John Joannopoulos (Francis Wright Davis Chair and Director of ISN), led by Prof. Marin Soljačić.
